Whenever I see Brave New World being mentioned, Chapter 3 always come to mind for me. I was quite confused by the constant jumping around of different scenes in that chapter when I first read it. I didn't really understand why Huxley wrote it like that, but it was quite hard to follow during my read through.
Overall, I enjoyed the world building and plot of Brave New World. Another dystopian take on the future of our species that contrasts 1984. Brave New World uses genetic engineering, selective breeding/cloning, medication, pleasure, and introduction of broken morals when young to control humans; while 1984 uses surveillance, propaganda, brainwashing, and violence to control humans. Both very scary worlds and both serve as good cautionary tales to the consequences and destruction caused by central planning.
Why isn’t Mitchell playing?
Mitchell got hurt last game near the end of the game, I believe it was a calf strain. He tried to recover enough for this game, but it wasn't enough for him to play.
You guys are spot on. Celtics show that they can easily get rattled when you play physical with them and they seem very emotionally vulnerable.
I counted them out before the series even started. I don't think Cavaliers are beating the Celtics. This might age very badly very quickly, but I stand by my prediction that the Celtics will get through to the eastern conference finals.
Yep. I've used 4 out of the 5 top teams you listed. That strike from the first week scared me real good that I went on a top teams picking spree.
Which ones are the top teams? The ones at the top of the standings? I think I've used quite a few of those haha
Is OG confirmed out for the series?
I only see reports of him not being likely to play in game 5. Will have to see if he can come back for game 6, but nothing indicating that he will.
I think the Knicks are exhausted, either way. The Pacers ran them into the ground.
Indeed really exhausted, banged up, and undermanned. Pacers fast pace of play doesn't help the Knicks at all. Will see how Knicks respond tomorrow at the Garden. I'm thinking that even if they are able to get past the Pacers, they wouldn't have enough left in the tank to beat the Celtics in the next round.
OG is dearly missed by the Knicks. Might have a hard time winning the series against the Pacers without him.
Silovs helped the Canucks conduct blatant robbery and stole last night's game. SOG were 45-18 favoring the Oilers, but Canucks still came up with the win. A masterful heist by the Latvian backup's backup goaltender.
Boeser didn't get the hat trick, as the first goal was reviewed to be tipped in by Lindholm. Silovs was a monster, making 42 saves. Canucks definitely stole this one.
He doesn't understand that with software, you can always go smaller in terms of the smallest denomination, and it is very easy to do. When I open RTL on my routing node, it already shows routing fees in mSats (0.001 sat). If NGU goes too high to make the sat too valuable for small transactions, we can always add more zeroes after the decimal point.
I don't know if you read Chinese, but the one that has a lot of Chang San Feng reference is 倚天屠龍記 or the English translated title is The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber.

Are we calling it? Guaranteeing it Barkley style? The Timberwolves will not win a championship as long as KAT wears a Timberwolves jersey!

Boeser another hat trick! This guy is an animal. Had a hat trick against the Preds, now another one again the Oilers.
Still a lot of hockey to play though. I hope the Canucks keep it up and take this one.

Was having mother's day dinner. Missed most of the game. Just turned it on now, looks like Nuggets are likely going to take this one also.

Spurs want their guys to be coachable, play defense, and buy into their system. Not sure if Trae would fit those. He is a great play maker and has great offense, but is a defensive liability. Also not too sure about Trae on the coachable and buy in part...
Murray was drafted by the Spurs and played 5 years with them. Might fit in better.

Woah! #1 pick with a measly 3% chance of winning. Dejounte Murray going back to the Spurs?
It would move its head and tail slightly from time to time, but it was mostly lying there just chilling. Not afraid of the passerby at all (although everyone kept a reasonable distance).
I went to the beach with my family earlier today. While we were walking, a lady pointed to my kids that there was a seal lying on the rock sunbathing. It took us a while to spot it, and would probably have completely missed it if the lady didn't point it out to us, because the seal was completely camouflaged. Interesting how animals develop natural camouflages to avoid predators. The genes that help survival gets passed on and the ones that don't help survival gets eaten. Evolution is indeed a very powerful force, especially over a long enough time period.
Can you spot the seal?
