Its good that the USA is starting to take care of business. They have no reason to buy property by any of the military bases!

Be careful what you wish for.
As far as I know they bought and paid for the property just like anyone else could.
If this property was to close for their comfort level they likely had decades to buy it on the open market.
Also what would stop them from building a new base someone where and then forcing the sale of a local business that was already there.
This appears to be another step down the slippy slop of having less property "rights".

It isnt a coincidence that the chinese are picking property by military bases. Especially during these times, that is pushing the envelope too close for comfort.

A 2018 law granted CFIUS the authority to review property transactions close to sensitive U.S. facilities, including Francis E Warren Air Force Base.
According to the White House order, MineOne’s property purchase was not filed to CFIUS until after the agency launched an investigation following a tip from the public.
In a statement by U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, said the move against MineOne “highlights the critical gatekeeper role that CFIUS serves to ensure that foreign investment does not undermine our national security.”
