There is a cool anonymous way to use stacker.news.

Select log in with Lightning. Copy the LNURL. Go to https://coinos.io and use it anonymously. Press Send in the bottom. Paste the LNURL. Default password for anonymous satoshi users is 'password'.

Welcome!

reply

Thank you, @relc! Everything was OK, but I feel even better and warmly welcome now. Respect.

Now, another cool thing is that sending 1sat from coinos.io to stacker.news works with no fee.

reply

That's neat! I wonder if they're doing virtual wallets and modify the signing step of lnurl auth or spinning up a new lightning node for every user. I suspect the latter, but cool either way.

I'm at some point going to have every user who signs up get 10 sats, so knowing users can create Sybils this easily is good to know.

reply

Yeah. Super cool. Thanks for sharing!

reply

Just bringing to your attention, @k00b.

reply

Hi @k00b, I happen to be unable to log in as @03286cce78 at the moment :-) Could be that coinos.io is not keeping the same sig all the time or I just forgot the password (was relying too much on browser remembering the sessions)…

reply

I suspect it's an issue on your end then? Your lightning key pair is your identity when you login with lightning - if it changes your identity does.

reply

Yes, that makes sense.

reply

By the way, no issue for me. The sats at https://stacker.news/03286cce78 were those 1000 you sent me for free (just by setting a profile line on Twitter) and anyway, even if I do not find a way to restore them myself, in a month you can be sure that if @03286cce78 is someone else, they would write something and complain, so if they don't it may mean you can send those leftover sats from @03286cce78 to @AnyoneOReally1 account. I will keep them here as I said before and will use them to stack for other peoples' posts.

Just for that another proof, I just added AnyoneOReally1@stacker.news to my Twitter — hahaha, noticed that this I am, as usual, writing from yet another account on SN.

All the best! :)

I believe you but it'd create a weird precedent that I'm not sure is worth it. Instead I'll just tip you 1000 sats.

reply

Respect, sir. I like this precedent way of thinking.
