That wasn't an analization so much as just an explanation of op_return's purpose and function and a primer on policy vs concensus. There was one useful piece of information in there that I don't think is well understood:
The -datacarriersize limit applies to the aggregate size of those OP_RETURN scriptPubKeys (i.e., it sums over all those outputs), not individually.
He's a religious fundamentalist and it colors every action he takes. The mining pool he ran that preceded Ocean was named after Saint Eligius, known for using his wealth to build churches and monasteries, and promoted Christian conversion among pagans. The name of his Core fork, Knots, is a reference to “Mary, Undoer of Knots” as in the Virgin Mary. He routinely placed biblical passages in the coinbase transaction of blocks his mining pools found thus proving he is a spammer and a hypocrite. Anyone that has convictions such as this are inherently damaged and should not be tolerated in a management role of any sort. Especially one tied to a 2 trillion dollar asset class...
@DarthCoin does this really apply to the BIP-444 soft fork though? Since it is two competing chains but not two competing coins isn't this different than the scenario you laid out? Listening to Bitcoin Mechanics recent video he explains that the Bitcoin Karen fork will just lay in wait until enough miners move over to work on this UASF chain then once it catches up the original chain will then experience a complete wipe out.
