Hey. I've been reading SN for a few weeks from Havana and finally made an account.

Quick context: internet here is through ETECSA, we get a few hours a day if we're lucky, and blackouts are normal. So if I reply slowly, that's why. Not ignoring anyone.

I've been into Bitcoin for about a year, mostly small stuff, learning as I go. A friend showed me this site and I liked that people actually argue about real things instead of posting garbage.

I don't fully get how zaps work yet. I connected a wallet but I'm not sure if it's set up right, and I don't want to mess it up. If someone can point me to a simple explanation, I'd appreciate it.

Also curious: anyone else here dealing with bad connectivity? How do you handle it? I'm trying to figure out what actually works when you only have a couple hours

Contexto rápido: aquí el internet es por ETECSA, tenemos unas horas al día si hay suerte, y los apagones son normales. Así que si respondo tarde, es por eso. No es que ignore a nadie.

Llevo como un año metido en Bitcoin, cosas pequeñas, aprendiendo sobre la marcha. Un amigo me enseñó este sitio y me gustó que la gente discuta cosas reales en vez de publicar basura.

Todavía no entiendo bien cómo funcionan los zaps. Conecté una billetera pero no sé si quedó bien configurada y no quiero meter la pata. Si alguien me puede pasar una explicación sencilla, se lo agradezco.

También tengo curiosidad: ¿hay alguien más por aquí con mala conexión? ¿Cómo lo manejan? Estoy tratando de ver qué funciona de verdad cuando solo tienes un par de horas al día conectado.
