Thanks so much, @AG! I'm excited to be here in the Agora territory. I'm just getting started selling rice locally in Malawi and learning how to use Bitcoin in the process. This space is really inspiring, and I hope to connect with others, grow my business, and maybe even help more people around me start accepting Bitcoin too. Looking forward to learning and contributing here!

Howdy @AG and welcome to SN
Just want to introduce you to the ~AGORA territory, a place to buy or sell your products and services with other stackers and obviously use bitcoin P2P as a medium of exchange.
Read this intro guide whenever needed, and if you have any feedback or suggestion on how we can make this space more useful, please do get in touch!
Wish you great and prosperous times around this wonderful corner of the internet!
Stay humble, stack sats ;)

Thank you for the warm welcome! πŸ™ I'm really glad to be here. I'm currently building a small rice-selling business in Malawi and learning how to use Bitcoin along the way. Agora feels like the perfect place to grow, learn, and connect with other stackers. I’ll definitely check out the guide and I look forward to participating more. Stay humble, stack sats! πŸš€

Wow! Rice is a really specific product, are you producing yourself or buying from local producers directly? I assume there's a big trade of this good going on there? Is rice what people eat commonly?
reply
Yes, rice is a common staple food here in Malawi, and it's in high demand. I’m currently buying it directly from local farmers in my area, especially during harvest season when prices are a bit lower. There’s definitely active trade, especially between rural producers and urban sellers. I’m trying to grow my business gradually and maybe even start packaging and branding local rice in the future. Have you seen similar kinds of trade in your area?

In my area rice is imported and there are no local producers around here as the land here is good for other crops.
Sound's like you have a really great plan in mind. Look forward to reading about the progress you'll do
