NWC interoperability layer is growing so big it's getting harder and harder to fit everything in one ecosystem map

4. AmbrosiaPoS is a multi-user point-of-sale system for Lightning payments, supporting role-based access. Users can choose to use phoenixd or self-hosted NWC for receiving payments.
5. OpenReceive provides libraries for Node and Rails to accept payments directly into your own wallet via a receive-only NWC connection.
6. Zappr is a nostr social client with an NWC wallet interface and AI assistant for feed summaries and user-approved Lightning payments.
7. Lightning Control Center is a self-hosted LND node dashboard with NWC connections for apps, but also allows you to us it with external NWC wallets.
8. And something for builders — NWC tester by Rizful allows you to test your apps NWC flows.

402, Charted - Tracking the rise of L402, x402, and MPP

The numbers are publicly available on the page. We hardly advertise it.

Through L402.space agents can reach the whole 402-endpoint ecosystem, so yes. 

We'd like to do another deep dive about the different categories. Then we can say more about whether LLM services are the biggest segment. 

Based on a very high-level scan we found 197 unique selectable chat-model IDs including 31 image-model entries. They are all available on a pay-per use basis now.

Paid APIs are adopting HTTP 402, but they are not converging on one payment protocol.

Some accept L402 over Lightning, some use x402 with USDC, and others use MPP. That can leave an agent needing a different wallet or integration for every API.

We built [l402.space](https://l402.space) to bridge those protocols.

The flow is straightforward:

1. Ask your agent to open [https://l402.space/llms.txt](https://l402.space/llms.txt)
2. Pay the gateway with Alby Payments Skill from Rizful, Coinos, Alby Hub or other NWC wallets
3. The gateway settles with the upstream API over whichever of those protocols it accepts.
4. The API response is returned to the agent.

There is no account or subscription. Each request is paid individually.

The same bridge can help API providers to accept any currency and continue receiving Bitcoin over Lightning L402, while customers using x402 or MPP route through the gateway.

This is a big win for Bitcoin and L402.

* income streams are separated with sub-wallets + Lightning addresses
* recurring and one-time payments, zaps, donations, and V4V payments don’t all land in one messy bucket
* expenses can be handled with app connections and custom budgets, instead of giving services unrestricted wallet access
* card spending can be topped up automatically within limits
* transactions are labeled as they happen, then exported for bookkeeping/accounting workflows like QuickBooks

This made me wonder: for people here who run businesses, side projects, stores, or services on bitcoin:

**What is missing in a bitcoin wallet before it becomes genuinely useful for your business??**

Some possibilities:

1. accounting/tax tooling 
2. fiat conversion and reporting 
3. recurring payments 
4. vendor payments 
5. payroll 
6. multi-user permissions 
7. spending limits and approvals 
8. clean exports for bookkeepers 
9. something else entirely

**We just added transaction labeling in Alby Hub and I'm curious how other stackers handle this.**

The basic idea: instead of trying to reconstruct payment context later, you can label transactions when they happen. For example: expense, transfer, sales receipt, account/category, counterparty, memo, invoice period, etc. Then exports become much easier to use in tools like QuickBooks or whatever accounting setup you use.

The reason I'm asking: bookkeeping for bitcoin/lightning payments can get annoying fast, especially if you have lots of small transactions. Privacy is great, but it also means you don't automatically get the structured metadata that banks/payment processors often give you.

**A few questions for people here:**

1. How much time do you spend on bookkeeping for bitcoin payments?
2. Is tax and accounting reporting still mostly manual for you?
3. Would labeling transactions at the wallet or node level help?
4. If you've tried this in Alby Hub, what would make it better?

Would love your feedback, especially from anyone using bitcoin for business payments, donations, invoices, or medium to high-volume payment activity (e.g. zaps or V4V).
