This is why we are building bearbull.xyz - a bitcoin price prediction market that will eventually morph into multiple categories for players
So just got round to it, the pot is currently empty but the platform works fine. We want to top it up - part of the reason for the raise then we do multiple rounds with the community.
currently, yes, however intend to scale to additional plays once we solidly figure out this first iteration
I agree, I should have labelled it differently, I will appreciate your feedback; and thank you for flagging that.
Thank you for this feedback, considering the niche nature of these platforms, I had not particularly come across the others. Essentially what we have have involves:
→ Predict BTC price (short term), stake sats, win sats
→ Peer-to-peer settlement over Lightning
→ No custody. No KYC. No banks.
The platform is built. We need $5K to seed liquidity pools so the first users don't land on empty markets. Additionally, we have a rev share arrangement for our supporters.
Would love SN support. Happy to answer questions.
The short-term BTC markets are intentionally our starting point because they're simple, fast, and work well with Lightning's instant settlement capabilities.
It's true that over very short timeframes, price action can look a lot like a random walk. For many users, the appeal isn't necessarily that they have a predictive edge but it's that they can participate in a market, get a result in seconds, and settle instantly in Bitcoin without needing a bank account or going through a lengthy onboarding process.
As for Predyx, it's great to see more projects exploring Lightning-powered prediction markets. Our focus is on creating the smoothest possible Lightning-native experience, from funding to settlement.
And yes, we're exploring additional market types beyond short-term BTC price action. The broader vision is to expand into other prediction and event-based markets while keeping the same instant, Lightning-first user experience.
do you mind if I share it on X?
