I do. I make cards that give them small amounts of Bitcoin on the lightning network. They think it's cool, but haven't gone down the rabbit hole.

I couldn't agree more. We need to teach people that bitcoin is a new, peer-to-peer economic system, not a casino chip for a fiat gambling system.

I've tried this too. I wish I had better news, but I wasn't able to onboard anyone aside from a few close friends and even most bitcoiners don't want to spend bitcoin.

BTCpayServer is pretty good and works with NWC now. It's pretty easy to run, but it's still new.

The other option is to get a lightning address from Zeus, GetAlby, Wallet of Satosi, etc.

Add the word lightning and : in front of it. Anyone with a lightning walket cac click it. Here's an example.
