If you manage to find something interesting to do with shopify, don't hesitate to ping me. I'm soon launching a Bitcoin shop for the european market with all kind of Bitcoin goods to sell, it would be great to have a nostr comment section, like on the NoGood Website
For Onchain only on desktop, the best is obviously Sparrow with maybe Electrum, even if I almost never use it, it has advanced capabilities that can help sometimes.
For Lightning the most convenient is Phoenix indeed, But recently I've been back to Breez wallet for its increased privacy compared to Phoenix and it seems it's much more reliable than in the past, I like it.
Otherwise, obviously Zeus and Blixt for the most advanced and sovereign Bitcoiners among us.
Also you have kind of mixed on-chain / LN wallets. I'm actively trying Bitkit Wallet too which works very well since the v1.0, and is very slick in term of UX.
In the same category we could add GreenWallet which allow onchain and LN (and other Liquid stuff) in the same wallet, but the LN part is very unreliable, at least it was the case still few weeks/months ago last time I tried it.
To conclude their is this new category of wallets that do atomic swaps between Liquid and Lightning to avoid managing LN liquidiy, that works well enough IMO
I'm talking about Aqua wallet or it's twin but less known BullBitcoin Wallet, which both have of course an on-chain part also.
Can you explain ZapThread please ? I know I used it on the NoGood website to send a comment but I can't grasp exactly what it is and what it can do etc...
Thanks !
Yep exactly, but not until these companies are nothing more than State extensions, heavily subsidized shit. In these conditions it's extremely difficult for competitors to emerge.
Boeing is the perfect example of what crony capitalism can do to a once amazing business...So cringe to see that they can't do anything of their core activity properly these days...
Sorry to be a bit rude maybe, but why a Korean specific Bitcoin community around NYC ? I mean why not just regular Bitcoin meetups regardless of the origin of the people ?
You are defending the biggest scamiest lobbies of all, the "green" lobbies, don't be a fool please their are tons of people making tons of money out of this...
No need to mention that none of these would exist without heavy subsidies stolen from people who don't care about your fake problems.
Let the free market do the thing, people will buy the cheapest and more reliable source of energy. If your despot propose the best price, ask yourself the good questions lol
There is no way all of this madness of windmills and solar aberration don't stop immediately after subsidies stops...
I didn't brought science here but obvious facts. Kill half of the world and you will see no measurable difference on your climate/temperature datas. A genocide won't change anything so I let you draw the conclusions about all your efforts for stealing from your fellow western citizens.
They are totally foolish in addition to being completely immoral of course.
Do you realize that 3/4 of the world never heard about climate change and would not care at all as they have more urgent needs that you refuse them ?
Don't you realize that it is a silly irrational fear from western spoiled communist kids ?
Didn't your learn anything from the COVID Hysteria ? It's exactly the same madness but on the long run... seriously dude get yourself together...
You should read more about liberty vs communism, less arbitrary opinions / parasitism and stealing from your fellow humans for BS pseudo end of the world incoming, and more kindness for people still in misery who desperately need fossil fuels.
The fact that 1°C in 200 years is barely a measurement anomaly is a...fact.
Kill and butcher all the western word and you will avoid, if IPCC and all communists idiots around it are right (pretty sure they aren't) about anthropocity of this tiny climate warming, and you will avoid a 0,5 °C of warming in 200 years while keeping humanity in absolute poverty.
Thanks for the detailed answer.
Honestly what you describe seems (at my noob level) to be a solution to one of the biggest UX problem in LN. It's huge lol
Don't know how hard it would be to convert the whole LN to this new standard but could be pretty fast it it indeed works as you show.
Congratulations anyway 🎉 for this promising idea (among all others)
Is it trusless ? Like do you need an LSP or something or does it work really "like" LN but I can pay anyone without worrying about the payee being online or not ?
It seems just to good to be true, where are the trade offs ? :)
For me it's more a "why" for statism...
Why should we have to live our short existence under oppressive regimes / mafia ? This make absolutely non sense...
That's why I came logically to liberalism for the same reason you describe on your post basically...
I want peace, and freedom, not pressure and violence from an overlord.
You should know though, by reasoning and/or looking at history.
Their is no such a thing that can be solved better by a forced monopolistic entity than by a free market. Their is no good reason to prevent competition in any field unless you fear not offering a good enough product/service.
Or it's a personal/subjective issue that you want to solve by violence, but it's obviously immoral.
Again in a free world, nothing would stop you and your fellow socialists to gather and associate in order to create your own mini state. The only question is: why on earth would you want to force people into your association ? In other words to go one step further in the story, why communists always end building walls to prevent people from leaving their nightmare of a society ?
Cant' you agree to disagree, do your things, and let people chose what they want ?
Kind of atomic swaps between cashu tokens and sats maybe if it means anything ?
Or maybe something linked to DLCs like 10101 was trying to do ?
I will answer by a question: how do you think that a monopolistic entity can solve any of the problems you mentioned or think about, better than a free market ?
Libertarianism is just about letting people chose who they want to associate with.
Libertarians even welcome communists (which is absolutely not the case the other way around, which say a lot about the morality of each system) as long as they to their shit together. This is the beauty of an anarcap world, you can opt-in and out at will as long as you respect contracts you've willingly signed.
What is very annoying with people disagreeing with libertarian views is their habits of cherry picking problems and yelling "see you can't imagine a way to solve this" while it's precisely because no central authority can find the solution that we have to let the market doing it.
On the other hand they of course have a solution for every problem you bring "just let the State solve it" as if THE STATE was not a bunch of dudes just cut off from market signals, with a monopoly on violence (what could go wrong...)
To conclude, libertarianism is just by far the best system we can imagine, or the least bad if you prefer. It's not the panacea, it does not solve everything, it's just the only reasonable way...
I will never understand Bitcoiners who still use custodial LN wallets while Phoenix exists...Ok for non bitcoiners merchants who don't want to spend time to manage their liquidity, and just receive payments without a bank account.
But otherwise, with Phoenix, Zeus, Blixt, Bitkit, Breez, Umbrel already and others already existing and working well or extremely well, it makes not much sense to me, really.
These sociopaths are dangerous as fuck and should be impeach ASAP
Macron, Trudeau, sleepy pedo Joe, but also any governments' head who has a power to start a war.
Nation States (basically divine monarchy 2.0) are total collective madness, source of ALL genocide ever perpetrated in human history. This has to stop.
I will have a look into tout project but why didn't you use BISQ at the time ? It was already there.
Honestly tipping through Alby but linked to my own node is very satisfying, on nostr or on lightning enabled websites. 2 click and then money flows at speed of light to enrich total strangers creating good content.
Also paying people abroad for their services, without worrying about any currency exchange rate/fees and bank authorization is amazing.
You really realize how our parasitic overlords are keeping the world in misery for much longer than is should have been, without any other reason that keeping their privileges on the money printing, through nonsensical mone monopoly and legal tender...
Done it before even seeing your comment. PAying and tipping via Bitcoin is something common for me now (even if it's still magic every time I do it), but man what a game changer it will make when people all over the world will finally get that no third party is needed to transfer money instantly and to be paid for your work/content....
