Here's an idea:
- Install lndhub on your node.
- Install bluewallet on your client's, pointed to your node.
- Add a lightning wallet on your client's bluewallets (they are pointed to your lndhub)
- Set them up on Kraken.
- Ask them to buy BTC via Kraken and withdraw via lightning to their wallet.
- Then they pay you via lightning to your wallet (which is also on bluewallet connected to your node). As it's a local payment fees are 0.
Good thing is that you become their banker effectively, and as soon as they withdraw from Kraken (and before they pay you) their money becomes part of your node's liquidity.
You'll just need a massive channel to Kraken with loads of inbound liquidity.
What about some movies? There are a few bitcoin movies, I like the one with the guy preparing a barbacue while has some mining equipment in the garage.
Deja vu?
Satoshi embedded the following message in the first bitcoin block: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”
I was making something like 20 sats a day with a hands off approach. Then I started opening lots more channels (to good nodes), automatically adjusting fees with LNDg, rebalancing channels heavily, and improved that income 20x times. Still not great and it doesn't even pay probably for the electricity it uses, but it makes me proud.
Great guides, how about a guide to set up lnurl with your own node and own wallet connected to your node (like Bluewallet using lndhub).
Hi guys, I'm your friendly low fees lightning node, my nostr is npub1c7v5rc5l5q0kezvgthhpt0z49xrhv5nkhk8tzskwwv60520p4asqmlc3j7
I love Lightning, I just did a batch open to 4 new nodes yesterday, and I also opened channels to a couple of fellow noderunners I found in Nostr. I love the lightning integration there with "zapping". At the moment only available in the Damus testflight version and a few other clients, but I believe when Damus with zapping hits the official App store, lightning payments are going to explode. Think Twitter but with an additional "Like" button with a lightning icon that sends a predetermined (in your settings) amount. It's really fast an effiecient.
You need the latest Damus version from testflight (if you are not in the testflight beta, wait till this version appears in the App store).
This version by default only shows paid relays on the global. So then you just need to purchase a few. I bought the same ones as Jack Dorsey:
