4’33’’ composed by John Cage is a modernist piece of music written for any combination of musicians.
The performers do not play their instrument, instead it is the ambient sounds that contribute to the music.
In this way no performance can ever sound the same. The piece is divided into 3 movements and was premiered in 1952 to much shock and controversy.
I am definitely in with this. It’s a great idea @Coinsreporter. Can’t wait to get started!
My kids have been learning to code. They started off with scratch
then moved onto python that others have mentioned.
Loads of stuff on YouTube to help get you started too.
Good luck!
I think she will be neutral as there is lots of US investment via EFTs etc. She will have seen the reaction Trump got last week at the Bitcoin conference and will definitely want to appear more open to Bitcoin prior to the election. If she is elected it might be a different story though, guess we will have to wait and see….
We are getting towards the end of the Olympic Games so a fun fact to share.
The 1936 Berlin Olympic was famous for Jesse Owens winning 4 gold medals, especially after the Nazi party wanted to not allow black & Jewish people to participate in the games.
The fun fact I wanted to share though was that the Berlin Olympics was where 2 Japanese pole vaulters created their medals of friendship.
The two athletes Shuhei Nishida & Sueo Oe achieved the exact same result after one jump-off for the silver & bronze medals. They refused to jump again and so the judges left it to the Japanese team to decide. There are different theories for how this was done but Nishida was awarded 🥈 and Oe 🥉.
Both athletes were unhappy with the official result and so when they returned to Japan they asked a jeweller to cut the medals in half. They were then welded together and so a hybrid silver-bronze medal was created for each of the men. These medals then became known as the “medals of friendship”.
Here is one of the meals:
This is one of my favourite Olympic sports. It’s the only time I ever see it but I love it!

Sorry didn’t realise it was behind a paywall.
Basically he was injured in the first heats and used the repechage to qualify for the final a few days later.
I have a friend whose Dad is sadly very sick and doesn’t have long left. His Dad sent him a few links to Korean porn videos when he was drinking late at night. My friend ignored it until his wife saw a few of the messages. How do you respond when your wife asks you why your Dad is sending you porn links 🤣🤣
I don’t think you need to tell your mom. But….you definitely need to talk to your Dad.
Not necessarily that you disagree with what he is doing (you might be cool with it) but it’s more about safety on the internet and how easy it is to get scammed as others have mentioned.
Good luck anon

Have no clue about this sport so purely guesswork from me.
Totally shocked to see the damage to statues of such important people in the history of Bangladesh.
I wasn’t trying to justify w the violence at all, more just a rationale for the reason why they were rioting. I agree that a lack of jobs & opportunities is common in other countries too but more and more we are seeing protests turn violent in other countries too.
I do think the election this year has also been a big factor. Usually if people are unhappy they could vote out an incumbent but I don’t think you could call the recent election free & fair. When this happens a number of times the people will eventually rise up.
I just don’t see Bangladesh being accepting of IS.
There are, like many countries, some extremist religious types but the average person I have met there doesn’t come across that way.
You don’t often see the full veil in Dhaka or other cities when moving around there.
Having said that I’m really worried about the future for Bangladesh. In the 5 or so years I have been travelling there it has been transformed…..but there is still a huge gap between rich and poor.
The lack of jobs and opportunities is what I believe has caused the riots. Young people see a future only of struggle, not of hope and opportunity.
I’ve been away so missed the first few days, let me know if I need to zap some sats.
As always thanks for organising, it should be another cracking event.

Not sure if I am too late for the men’s but hopefully not. Think Tommy Fleetwood & Matsuyama will be fighting it out for 3rd place but sticking with my home country for the bronze!
Strange to announce it then shortly after announce that it has been revoked.
My understanding looking at this from outside the US was that the government said they hadn’t agreed it, the prosecutors told them about it on Wednesday. I saw that Biden had rejected a plea deal last year.
Definitely think that it isn’t a good look to agree a plea deal in an election year but I do wonder if they announced the prisoner swap with Russia around the same time so that it wasn’t the lead piece in the news.
