Shouldn't all of this AI stuff be trending towards free.
Right now i'm running a modal on a mac mini that smokes the top tier models we were running 3 years ago.
So......in 5 years aren't we going to all have a free and open source Fable equivalent running on our Umbrel or Start9?
5 years is a long time.
And how "Intelligent" does the general public need a daily driver AI model to be?
Couple months ago I tested a few local image and music gen Models that I could run on the mac mini. They both sucked. But i'd imagine theyd be decent in 2 years and ok in 4 and good enough for general purpose sort of things in 5.
I feel pretty comfortable about these predictions, especially when considering that the rate of improvement is likely to increase rather than hold still.

Recently just asked my AI Agent to download a bunch of songs from youtube.
I'm starting the process of rebuilding a local music library.
Dropped it a link to a youtube downloader and it seems to be going wild.
Pointed it to my youtube channel playlists and gave it a list of artists/bands I like for examples of music to download.
It came back to me after an hour and said it was going to go on a 8-9 hour process of downloading music from youtube turning into MP3's organizing the stuff into albums and Artists and grabbing album/artist artwork.
Next is to
- Choose the best way to listen to the music on the go
- set up a cron job to have it create playlists
- Grab an external harddrive
Could probably have the thing start creating mixes
Wild to think I did this with a conversation with my agent over the phone on the drive home from work.
Motlbook at first seems really cool.....but then when you think about the risks it becomes kind of crazy.
Opening your Clawd to download random skills or read random conversations from other Clawds is a wild attack vector, you could be compromised for years while anon waits to pull the rug trigger.
TheWildHustle isnt allowing his Clawd (Hustle Jr.) to participate in social stuff.....call hustle a helicopter agent orchestrator if you like.
