A mouse was placed on top of a jar filled with grain.  He was so pleased to find so much food that he no longer had the need to look for food elsewhere.  After eating a lot, he reached the bottom of the pot.  Now he's trapped and can't get out.

If you have 1 liter of milk, 1 yogurt and half a lemon, you can prepare the best homemade cheese!
 No one needs to be a chef to make this recipe, which, in addition to being extremely tasty, is also healthy and economical.
 INGREDIENTS:
 1 liter of whole milk
 1 cup of unsweetened natural yogurt
 Half a lemon
 1 clean cotton towel
 1 pan measuring 12 centimeters
 METHOD OF PREPARATION:
 1- Leave the milk on the heat for 15 minutes,
 2- Then add the yogurt and lemon juice.
 3- Once done, mix slowly for a few seconds.
 4- Let the mixture rest for at least three hours.
 5- After this time, place the cloth towel inside a colander.
 6- Then place the colander inside a pan.
 7- Then, pour the mixture onto the cloth. This will allow you to separate the cheese from the whey.
 8- The part that remained on the cloth must go into a mold and be kept in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
 9- Then just remove, uncover and add a little salt, if desired.
 10- Once done, take it to the fridge again to stay for another 8 hours.
 11- Once this step is complete, you can now consume your delicious homemade cheese.

A Ph.D in Computer Science, Gary created CP/M (Control Programming for Microcomputers) operating system. A game changer in the industry, here's why.

Before CP/M, each computer had to have a tailor-made operating system. 

It was like having different types of fuel for every car model. 

With CP/M, one only needed to write software once, it was a way to run the same software on different computers with little effort.

Like most geeks out there, Gary had little interest in running a business but his wife, Dorothy, convinced him to start licensing his creation.

Now comes the interesting part 😊

In 1980, IBM approached Microsoft for an OS for their new PC. Microsoft didn't have any so Bill Gates redirected them to Gary.

When IBM came knocking, Gary wasn’t home. His wife Dorothy and a team of DRI lawyers met them but they did not each an agreement.

As a result, IBM team stalked out in a huff and approached Bill Gates again, who now sensed a clear opportunity.

But he still did not have an operating system. 

What he did next made him a billionaire he is today 💸

He paid $75,000 to Seattle Computers for their QDOS (Quick and Dirty Operating System).

This QDOS was actually a rip-off of Gary Kildall's CP/M 😆

QDOS became MS-DOS, Microsoft's D̶i̶r̶t̶y̶ Disk Operating System.

The first IBM PC was released in August of 1981 and it ended up selling 2 million units in a couple of years, overtaking Apple as the world’s largest PC manufacturer.

But this story continues to demonstrate the shrewdness of Bill Gates and naiveness of Gary Kildall.

Gary wanted to sell CP/M on a royalty basis. IBM wanted to pay a one-time fee instead.

Microsoft licensed MS-DOS to IBM for a one-time fee of $50,000 but Microsoft never mentioned that deal was non-exclusive

Soon Microsoft was selling MSDOS to all of IBM’s competitors, taking a licensing fee from every computer sold.

After seeing what he had lost, Kildall threatened to sue IBM. In a settlement, IBM agreed to offer a version of Kildall’s CP/M software, alongside MS-DOS, with every PC they sold. 

Kildall saw this as an opportunity and agreed. If only he knew what was he getting into.

IBM offered the two operating system choices to its customers:

* MS-DOS for $40
* CP/M for $240

You don't need a PhD to guess what people chose between the two. Money matters after all.

CP/M would fade into obscurity, losing to a clone of itself. What an irony!!

Kildall’s failure is conversely called one of the biggest business failures in all of human history.

Today, everyone knows Bill Gates and Gary Kildall is sadly forgotten despite being a milestone in the personal computing history.

Considered one of the most dangerous arachnids in the world:

 1. There are around 1,500 species of scorpions worldwide.  However, only around 30 types are considered urban pests and harmful to human health.

 2. The length of the scorpion can vary from 2 to 20 cm.  The most interesting thing is that being bigger doesn't mean being more dangerous.  The most dangerous scorpions in the world measure around 7 cm.

 3. Scorpions lived alongside dinosaurs.  They have existed for around 400 million years.

 4. Despite varying species, scorpions produce a single type of venom.  Only one type of serum is effective for treating the bite.

 5. The average mortality of humans from scorpion stings varies between 800 to 2000 annually.

 6. After birth, newborn scorpions ride on their mother's back, where they remain protected until they shed their exoskeleton for the first time.

 7. In the wild, scorpions generally live 2 to 10 years.  In captivity, scorpions live up to 25 years.

 8. Scorpions are champions when it comes to survival.  A species can live for an entire year without food.  Furthermore, they can remain submerged underwater for up to 48 hours and survive.  Animals can live on just the moisture they get from food.

 9. Scorpions glow under ultraviolet light.  After molting, its film becomes soft and no longer contains the substance that causes fluorescence.

 10. They say that scorpions are suicidal.  But this is a lie because they are immune to their own poison.

 11. Despite their bad reputation, animals are important for the balance of the ecosystem, as they are predators of other species.  Furthermore, science has already discovered that the venom of some of these arachnids offers material for important studies into cures for diseases such as cancer and others.

Three-time Formula 1 champion, Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna collided with the Williams team car, fatally, against a concrete barrier on the old Tamburello curve, at more than 300 km/h, on May 1, 1994. The episode inscribed the Italian circuit of San Marino, in Ímola, in the history of Brazilian motorsport.

 Senna became a national sporting icon when he became world champion for the first time at the Adelaide Grand Prix, in Australia, in 1988.

 Another famous GP in the driver's history is Monaco.  He won this circuit for the first time in 1987. Senna started second, behind Niguel Mansell of the Williams team, who abandoned the race on the 29th lap due to engine problems.  Senna would win another five times in the principality, which would give him the title of “King of Monaco”.

 Senna's popularity went far beyond Brazil.  A year before his death, American singer Tina Turner dedicated the song Best to Ayrton Senna.

Warner Bros.  will produce a film about Yasuke, Japan's first black samurai. Entitled Black Samurai, the film will be written and directed by Blitz Bazawule (The Color Purple, Black Is King).  The information is from Variety.

 According to the publication, there was an intense commercial battle between studios to acquire the film, but Perna Longa came out victorious.  Netflix also intends to launch a series about the historical character, possibly starring Omar Sy.

 Yasuke was a samurai who really existed.  He arrived in Japan in the 16th century accompanying the Italian missionary Alessandro Valignano and became a retainer of Nobunaga Oda, the great unifier of Japan.

 An anime inspired by the warrior's life was released by Netflix in 2021.
