### AN IMPORTANT METRIC

Today we’ll be taking a look at the **realized cap.**

The realized cap values each coin at the **price** it was **last moved** at.

It differs to the **market cap**, which measures the **current price multiplied by the circulating supply.**

The realized cap is the base layer of so many on-chain indicators. That’s why analysts love this metric.

Lost coins are effectively removed from the calculation, as they have low economic value. Think Satoshi’s coins, which haven’t moved in over 10+ years. (their realized value would be incredibly small as Bitcoin was less than $1)

**Uptrends:** Coins purchased at cheaper prices are being spent for profits. **Bull market signal.**

**Downtrends:** Investors are realizing losses. Bear market signal.

**Sideways:** Smart money investors accumulating cheap Bitcoins, providing **buy support.**

The last time I looked at this metric (June 5th) the realized cap was *$594 billion.*
Currently it’s at *~$601.4 billion.* **An all-time high.**

When Bitcoin hovers around it’s all-time high, it’s natural that some investors to take profits.

As these investors take profits, the realized cap increases.

This is because older coins are being revalued from a lower cost basis to a higher one.

That’s why an increasing realized cap can also be considered a bull market signal. (it can only increase during price run-ups)

And as it continues to increase, it signals that there is sufficient demand for these coins at higher and higher prices.

With that in mind, expect to see the realized cap continue rising throughout this cycle.

## Dominoes Falling.

BREAKING: **Telecom Giant and T-Mobile Parent Deutsche Telekom** plans to mine Bitcoin.

Telecommunication giant Deutsche Telekom, (parent company of T-Mobile) announced that it has been running a Bitcoin node since 2023.

Speaking at Bitcoin Prague, **Dirk Röder Head of web3 infrastructure** at T-Mobile had this to say:

> “Since 2023, we [have been] running a Bitcoin node and we are running Bitcoin Lightning nodes as well.”

But it doesn’t stop there…

Dirk Röder closed out his presentation with the following:

> “With a heart full of… pride, I would like to let you in on a little secret; we will engage in digital monetary photosynthesis soon.”
 
If you’re like me you are probably wondering what on earth “digital monetary photosynthesis” even means.

Dirk clarifies:

> “Is T-Mobile mining Bitcoin?”
Dirk replied “We will”.

That is **HUGE.**

**T-Mobile** is one of the largest US telco’s with a market cap of *~$208 billion.*

And now they’ve decided to join the **Bitcoin mining** game…

**Bitcoin** is going to *$1 million* over the next 10 years.

So why would you invest in real estate?

That’s the latest out from [Fred Krueger.](https://x.com/dotkrueger?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor&utm_source=www.cryptonutshell.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=bitcoin-vs-real-estate)

Fred Krueger is a ***very successful entrepreneur & investor.***

In his Krueger made it very clear why Bitcoin is the better investment over real estate.

But first, Fred broke down where he sees Bitcoin going over the next 20 years.

> “I think most of the gains on Bitcoin are going to happen over the next 20 years.”
 
Krueger then gave some rough price targets:

> “We get to $1 million a coin within 10 years. I think we get to $10 million a coin within 20 years.”
 

If Bitcoin were to reach *$1 million* per coin in 10 years, that would put the market cap at *~$20.87 trillion.*

And at *$10 million* a coin, the market cap would be *~$209.96 trillion.*

(these calculations account for new Bitcoin entering the supply over 20 years)

With these numbers in mind, Krueger has a very simple take on Bitcoin vs Real Estate:

> “Bitcoin will outperform real estate by quite a wide range.”
 
And for people that are looking at buying their first house, this is what Krueger has to say:

> “If I were you, I might just wait a little bit. I would say a smarter idea would be to rent and put some money in Bitcoin for 4 or 5 years.”
 

Now let’s take a look at some charts to see if Bitcoin really is better than real estate…

(spoiler alert, it is)

The chart below shows how much Bitcoin (orange) is required to purchase an average home in the United States.

Notice how the amount of Bitcoin required has always been trending downwards.

**The trend is clear.**

Over the last 15 years, **Bitcoin** has been the superior long-term investment compared to real estate.

Will that trend continue and will it continue at the same pace?

Is Bitcoin ***undervalued***?

Well, billionaire investor **Bill Miller IV** seems to think so…

For those not familiar with Miller, he’s the **CIO and Chairman at Miller Value Partners.**

And he’s been accumulating Bitcoin for over a decade, even publishing a blog post titled [“A Value Investor’s Case for… Bitcoin?!”](https://millervalue.com/a-value-investors-case-for-bitcoin/?utm_source=www.cryptonutshell.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=why-we-re-still-early) back in 2015 when Bitcoin was just *~$230.*

But recently, Miller published another blog post titled [“Why I’m Still Betting on Bitcoin”.](https://millervalue.com/why-im-still-betting-on-bitcoin/?utm_source=www.cryptonutshell.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=why-we-re-still-early)

Let’s see what he has to say.

Miller starts the blog post with the following:

> “I believe Bitcoin today is still significantly undervalued and that the world is likely in the early stages of a secular shift around how humans think about capital and its governance.”
 
Miller then explains that humans are notoriously bad at understanding the potential of new technologies.

> “This gap is especially wide for groundbreaking concepts of an epistemic nature – that is, inventions that change the way we think about and relate to information and each other. It also explains why NVIDIA, Google and Meta have generated outsized returns relative to other stocks.”
 
And Bitcoin is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before:

> “The promise of Bitcoin is simple – namely, that changes in someone’s purchasing power should not be controlled by an authority tied to the circumstances of one’s birth.”
 
***Now, I know you guys want a price prediction, but unfortunately -Miller didn’t give any price predictions in this blog post.***

But he did say the following:

> “My view is that it’s many multiples of its current $1.5 trillion market capitalization in a world of fiat governance systems fast approaching one quadrillion dollars of capital.”
 
Bitcoin still only represents a fraction of the worlds total capital…

Bill closed out the blog post with this powerful message:

> “I believe that continuing to ignore Bitcoin will serve those who do it over the next decade as well as it has over the past one – not well.”
 
It’s still **early**

I’m not sure what to think of this guy any more. I am happy he has changed his tune at least!

##### **TRUMP CONTINUES CAMPAIGN**

BREAKING: **Trump** wants **Bitcoin** “made in the USA” after hosting mining industry heads.

Trump has continued his pro “crypto” campaign.

This time meeting with executives from Nasdaq listed Bitcoin mining firms **CleanSpark Inc.** and **Riot Platforms.**

We can only assume that the meeting went well as Trump posted the following to Truth Social shortly after:

According to **CleanSpark** executive chairman **Matthew Schultz**, Trump expressed his support for “cryptocurrency” at the event.

Trump Stated that he *loves and understands* digital assets. 

Even highlighted how Bitcoin miners contribute to stabilizing the energy grid.

**Jason Les**, CEO of **Riot Platforms** also posted the following to Twitter:

This is bullish for **Bitcoin** miners.

And it’s interesting seeing Trump show his continued support.

A complete contrast to how the **Biden administration** has treated the crypto industry…

Trump’s support so far has earned him substantial backing from the community.

With over 50 million Bitcoin and “crypto” holders in the US, those votes could play a pivotal role in deciding the **November election.**

Mathematician & Bitcoiner **Fred Krueger** also weighed in on the news.

 He believes a Trump win would guarantee a *$200,000* Bitcoin by the end of **2025.**

#### Donald Trump doubles down at fundraiser event.

Trump has once again come out in support of Bitcoin.

This time at a tech fundraiser event in San Francisco, Trump called himself a “crypto president”. [(Reuters)](https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-pitches-himself-crypto-president-san-francisco-tech-fundraiser-2024-06-07/?utm_source=www.cryptonutshell.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=why-1-million-bitcoin-is-inevitable)

Trump also raised *$12 million* from the fundraiser hosted by tech venture capitalists **David Sacks** and **Chamath Palihapitiya.**

According to **Republican National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon**, Trump stressed that he was supportive of Bitcoin

But…

He did not offer specifics on his proposed policy.

Here’s a quick summary of the ***promises*** Trump has made so far:

- Support the right to self-custody

- Commute Ross Ulbricht’s prison sentence.

- Never allow the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency.

But Trump’s not the only US presidential candidate supporting crypto, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has also ***promised***:

- No taxes on Bitcoin.

- Backing the US dollar with Bitcoin.

- Put the US budget on blockchain.

Bitcoin as a presidential debate topic is well and truly heating up. 🔥

Two Predictions.

Good thing for us, we will get to watch that play out.
