its very sus. but they dont hold a lot of customer funds afaik...so i dont think they are stealing customer funds. maybe they are putting some of max keisers capital to good use?
ive said it before and ill say it again. you cannot scale without trust. so the simple equation becomes how do we maximize scalability and minimize trust.

its probably because its so novel and so different from anything that has existed before that makes it hard for people to wrap their heads around it. but that will begin to change
people who argue about the security budget are like people who say a boat would sink if it was made out of metal. they are so fucking stupid it makes my physically ill. they lack nuance, critical thinking and just enjoy sucking on their own assholes. the security budget is addressed in the whitepaper and its operating exactly as it should 15 years later. there are a whole host of things i worry about, the security budget is not one of them.
either that or its bad faith, shitcoinery fud, which is what this almost certinley is.
craftsmanship. everything is transactional nowdays. a proof of work system will draw out the most talented creators to do the work. people who tile showers and build overpasses will be the best and will be held in the highest regard. with proof of stake (aka fiat), every job is set up in a way to monetize and maximize profit for someone other than those who are actually doing the work.
this is a great point. im not a religious person but the best way to convince people is to lead a good life, thrive, and flourish. lead by example, be the change you want to see and people will respond to that.
i think a lot of it comes from saifdean ammous. hes all about it, says its a low time preference since kings are there for life.. politicians, on the other hand, are looking for the short term expediency... or something to that effect.

i just use it for small transactions and orange pilling. im not getting fucked by anybody, except your mom.
as a non technical person, muun is probably the most reliable lightning wallet(more reliable than phoenix or breeze but slightly higher fees)... its the one ive used to most for 'orange pilling'... ie to get people from 0-25000 sats in less than 2 minutes.
