If for people you intend the unconscious masses they will never learn anything, they will react to circumstances out of needs only. When the money they use everyday became useless they will search for an alternative and if things will be ready, mature and very very easy to use they might choose bitcoin lightning to fulfill their needs. We do not need to convince anyone right now, we must lead by example, study, learn for ourself so if one day someone will ask us about some help we will be ready. It is our journey not theirs and the early we recognize it the better ;-)

Hey Darth, there might be an error in your interpretation of the option "discover=0" I tried myself and it seemed not to work as expected since peers still find me and connect to my node anyway so I find this on the bitcoin.conf sample file:

#discover=1 (default)

It is annoying because if you have your own node connected it might sometimes be kicked out because your node reached the maximum connections allowed!
