Large nodes like bfx-lnd1 need to explicitly override the defaults with much higher values than are even recommended in the LND docs.

There already is support for watch-only wallets. You can even open channels from external signers. Menu > Tools > Accounts > +

You should try another one. You can have multiple mints and jump between them
