I think bitcoiners need to think more critically. Asking random people what they can learn about a recipient isn’t any kind of proof that lightning is private.
I'm not saying it isn't private. Just that this is a pretty embarrassing way to try to prove the privacy of anything.
embarrassing way to try to prove the privacy
It doesn't prove anything about Lightning because it doesn't need to, those facts are self-evident... it just proves that Monero users are LARP's that are under a shitcoin spell regurgitating astroturf narrative and have no understanding of how anything works

🤣🤣🤣
This had so many hilarious put downs I asked Perplexity to break it down for me as I don’t know all of these terms:
The phrase "larps under a shitcoin spell regurgitating an AstroTurf narrative and who have no understanding of how anything works" is a highly critical description, using several internet and crypto-specific terms:
LARPs: Short for "Live Action Role Players," but used online (especially in crypto circles) to mock people who are pretending to be something they're not—acting out roles without real substance or understanding.
Shitcoin spell: "Shitcoin" is a derogatory term for cryptocurrencies considered worthless or scams. Being "under a shitcoin spell" suggests someone is blindly or irrationally supporting such coins.
Regurgitating an AstroTurf narrative: "AstroTurfing" is the deceptive practice of creating fake grassroots support for something, often orchestrated by hidden sponsors to make it look like genuine public enthusiasm. "Regurgitating" means repeating these manufactured talking points without critical thought.
No understanding of how anything works: This accuses the person or group of lacking real knowledge or expertise.

It's kinda great, really. Force them to challenge their assumptions and learn through use.
Lightning has been aggressively attacked. Many people who have never used to it are automatically prejudiced against it because of the anti-LN campaigns.
What better way to challenge that prejudice than to challenge them to use it?
