This is a recurring post inspired by discussions had by @Undisciplined, @elvismercury and others regarding evergreen content on SN. I’ll dig back into the past to try to locate some great posts that might be worth another read. I plan to release a new Golden Oldies every Tuesday.

This post has something for everyone. For starters, @davidw wrote it. His submissions are always of high quality. Secondly, it was a satsraiser, a term coined by @grayruby for a Stacker News charitable effort. Finally, the subject is Hal Finney. Maybe highlighting this post will inspire a few satsraisers in the future.

So I’m sticking with Hal Finney as the topic of the next post. Yes, @k00b only earned 6 sats for his efforts back in 2021, when SN was still in its infancy. It was just a link post. The only stacker who took the time to reply was Gigi. Here we get to read Hal Finney’s thoughts back in 2013 about bitcoin and his own deteriorating health. It’s a treasure that really is required reading for all of us.
