I am not anti EV but I am anti forcing EVs on the public and even anti-subsidizing them over ICs. Attempts like Gavin Newsom's are virtue signalling vote getting tactics masked as saving the planet. Its absurd on its face.
Should be entertaining to watch this develop.

Yeah... neither side has any consistency on states rights. They both only care about getting their way. If there is a president of the opposite party they care about states rights. If they have their guy in power other states are wrong for going against them. It is exceedingly rare for politicians to have any sort of consistent principle if that means agreeing with or submitting to their opponents. Its one of many reasons why I'm not a part of this joke.
If it suits them they bring up the Constitution. If not, they don't. Judges that oppose them are activist judges. It never ends.

Honestly, the inconsistency and general ingenuousness of politics makes me sympathetic to those that just only care about getting their way. It seems to me that people with principles are doomed in politics and in political discussions. The masses want actions and they don't really care about consistency, moral or ideological. There is very little introspection or interest in understanding those that see things differently. Its all about winning in a winner takes all manner. Its a sad state of affairs and I see more strong men being attractive post Trump. I think those that hate Trump have really missed the most important thing. Its not about Trump. Its about the failure of the liberal multicultural post WW2 world view that we've all been drowning in for the last 40+ years.
The strong gods are returning and I don't think people get what is happening. I don't fear Trump. I fear the masses and the recklessness of all sides in US politics. They are obsessed with political power.
These people don't even understand the rise of Hitler let alone what is happening now. Its not about the man. Its about the situation. Humans are humans and pushed in the right direction it can happen here. It isn't Trump. He's not the threat. He's kinda inevitable. What follows is what is more important. Those that oppose him can't resist the easy responses just throwing fuel on the fires.
God help us.
