I probably wouldn't be interested, mostly for safety and electricity cost concerns. Gas is still the much cheaper fuel.
in the US for sure, in UK we get ass raped on fuel, then again, we also get blasted on electricity cost, but the gov offers subsidies for EV charging (at the moment)
still, i had never considered the safety aspect and also didnt know about the weird subsidy milking happening there.
but of course, you cant even get the cheap Chinese EVs in UK becuase of tarrifs etc. my wife's russian relatives however have all moved over to Chinese EVs, for obvious reasons

Since "green energy" is a big political issue here, we see lots of stories about EV safety issues and I would just assume the cheaper Chinese ones are worse.
