Maxine Waters is a very unpleasant character. I was at a conference about housing once, and there were a lot of public officials as speakers. This being California, they were all progressives. But most of the speakers stayed on point and talked some fairly detailed policy points about housing. Except Maxine Waters, when she took the stage, she just started Trump bashing and talking about things pretty much irrelevant to California's housing situation. Felt like a huge waste of everyone's time and nothing but an act of self aggrandizement
