Pretty sure you need a fairly hefty machine, at least a hefty HD, to run a fullnode these days

I run a Bitcoin Core node, not pruned, on a laptop with 1T ssd. The laptop is pretty old, maybe 8 years. Works great, I keep it on most of the time.
