Is it normal for a short Spirit airlines flight to have a $50 price difference between first class and a regular seat (with carry-on added)?

I might fly Spirit more often. I like the ability to save by not needing extras.

Isn't Spirit's first class just slightly more leg room?

Not on the flight I was looking at. It's 2 seats per side rather than 3.

Any extra space is great extra space on an airplane! Leg room is a real lifesaver over a longer flight. Also, flying on an emptier plane is really nice, too.
