This is clearly being driven by Israel and they've been unambiguous in wanting regime change. I've seen reporting that US intelligence had no independent evidence of Iran making nukes. They completely took Israel's word for it.

Not sure what US intel you saw but the intel in DC was clear as day given the confirmed enriched rate. The enriched rate is high enough at a minimum you could do multiple dirty bombs. Iran has for decades now toyed the line of weapons because it gave them the biggest negotiating point but once they went to 60% and then once the UN's agency found traces of 83.7% enrichment that was an "accident" the cat was out of the bag. Iran went to far and thus the action we have seen.
Trump has said for a decade plus now that Iran could never get nuclear weapons but Iran refused to come to the table over them. The last thing we need is Saudi and the UAE in a nuclear arms race.

None of what you just said is evidence of producing a weapon. Tulsi said in Congressional testimony that Iran was not doing so and the reporting was that the American assessment was the same at the time of the strike, but Israeli intelligence was given higher priority than American.

Have you listened to Congressional Testimony? Never ever take it at its word. Both sides doesnt matter Sec. of Energy Granholm with Biden and Sec. of Energy Wright have both been caught messing up.
Tulsi is also the one who said that Assad was a good person and wasnt doing the horrendous crimes against his people like everyone else knew so ya know not not a great source.
Both sides of the aisle were united in Iran wanted a bomb it was a wildly unifying thing.

The broader point is that no evidence has been presented to the public. Your party has lied to us all about WMDs before. And, the DNI recently stated that there was no evidence to support this pretense for war.
You guys need to do better than "Trust me bro". We do not trust you and we will not trust you, because you've already deeply violated that trust.
Stop acting like we owe you anything.

WMD also are chemical weapons which were found in Iraq... they weren't nukes but chemical and biological weapons were found. That isnt a disputed issue as freaking ISIS used them at one point

I have to disagree. Regime change is only going to happen if boots are on the ground like with Iraq and that is not going to happen. Trump has not shown any signs of doing that and he has no need to. Eliminating the nuclear threat is the mission.
Now the regime is already fragile. They had those mass protests the last two years but now there are calls from inside the country to calm down and take a step back. The military obviously isnt as strong as Iran wanted people to believe and Russia isnt bailing them out.
