It's really a matter also of "how much the average man cares about him/her being controlled and spied". Seems like nobody gives a shit about what companies or governments know about them, at least until they realize that's too late to escape from the deadly spiral of surveilance. If everyone were focused on finding out their trade-offs between privacy and practicality I guess Bitcoin would be the dominant vehicle to transfer value globally. Hopefully people will realize it quickly...eventually everyone will realize it, at an increasingly high cost as time goes
