First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

Or then you lose.
Bitcoin's success is not guaranteed. We do have to fight for it, using all available means.
reply
Yes, it's not guaranteed but I don't think we are losing. That the CBDC experiment in Nigeria is not working out for the banks is giving me a lot of hope for the future.

I live in the eu. And you wouldn't believe how much the class system is part of every day life here. Especially in places like Germany, all the workers know there place. The EU is a gravy train for scammers/rent seekers. It makes the USA look like the shining city on the hill..

Can you share more? The old myth here in New Zealand is that we "threw away" the old class system. Our MPs and business elite for all their failure, go to the same schools, live in the same neighbourhoods, and sound the same. But what does it look like for you in the EU on the day to day?

It's interesting how the old culture of "The Gentry" never went away in Germany and other Euro countries. *From their own marketing, you would think it has, but the actual product is still classist and hierarchical. False advertising!

Yes it's really interesting. They are facing liquidity crisis after liquidity crisis, B banking insolvencies in the air (look at CDS). Look at Credit Suisse, well it's not part of the Eurosystem I know, but it's a good indicator of what is going on the European banking system. And all they have to do in their press department is bashing on Bitcoin. It's really interesting

why dont they just buy a sum and put it in their treasury for lack of a better term. I mean they hold gold, allegedly so why not btc? Ultimately ECB could help scale Bitcoin by holding it, and performing transactions off-chain for various clients?
And if they wanted to think really long term, they could just do what was done to the dollar all over. At first it was gold based, then slowly the gold was removed and all that is left is just a fiat note. So if ECB was smart(??) they would adopt bitcoin, become a custodian, and down the line be like "what we need this blockchain for, and voila we are back with fiat currency and in the hands of ECB again
