This really surprises me…. The Islanders in my opinion don’t really need first round picks this year… they already got the coveted #1.

I mean was #16 and #17 really going to transform them? I doubt it and Dobson is a hell of a loss for the team defensively. One rumor I have seen is the possibility of trying to trade with Chicago for the number 3 to draft the hometown kid James Hagens who grew up on Long Island.

I’m not sure that moves the needle though for Chicago given the sheer number of high value draft picks they have had and the crazy drafted talent they have. It’s at the point of wanting to move to winning now more then just drafting away.
