As someone who lived in Cluj and used public transportation on daily basis I do have high hopes on the Metro for them. It is a real pain to pass the city at peak hours.
I just hope they don't waste time and money and will have it working as they projected it when they applied for the funds.
Though the main issue for traffic is that people aren't willing to move closer to work even if living in rental.
Let's hope they will not abandon the project in a forgotten drawer.
The project has started, they are working on it...so it is unlikely (at least I really hope so) that they will stop.
It depends on when you lived in Cluj-Napoca...now the situation with public transport is (slightly) better, there are bus lanes in most of the city, where only buses can travel, and this has made public transport much faster.
