Really interesting, thanks. Admirable family.
One of the things that made homeschooling really daunting to me (and we didn't homeschool) was...what about socializing? The neighborhood that we lived in when the kids were going to school was pretty asocial - you NEVER saw kids playing outside. So it would have been (on top of the actual homeschooling) a whole separate job, hauling them to homeschooling co-ops, playgroups, just so they could meet other kids.
Perhaps if you live in a large city, instead of in the suburbs, there's a larger set of people that homeschool,
