Awesome. So many plebs in the space that want to learn this exact kind of thing. I am hoping at some point someone will stand up a Bitcoin version of Bloom and we can keep the funnel of talent for bitcoin companies robust and filled with passionate bitcoiners.

I’m working on the 100daysofPython course at Replit but this seems much more practical. I don’t even know why I’m learning Python except that loads of people recommended it.

Python is a great first language to learn mainly because it teaches you the general programming concepts with pretty easy syntax and you can spin up a server or write simple helpful scripts with it with very little experience.
The plebdev course is mainly focussed on web/app development skills using JavaScript which I think is a more fun and motivating way to learn programming since you can build/deploy real web apps after about 6 hours of study/practice and start working towards contributing to Bitcoin projects a lot quicker.

Excellent. After getting to day 30, I encountered some pronoun usage which, I'm normally fine with, but in this instance it feels really contrived and offputting. I've just signed up at Udemy and I'll give your course a go, seems much more practical since my main motivation is to be able to contribute to Bitcoin projects. Thanks!

How cool! Great idea do you plan to do more?
reply
Yes! This is just course #1 covering frontend I'm in the early stages of developing a second backend course but want to take some time to get as much feedback as possible and see what the plebdevs want/need out of the next course

It seems the course is more focused on basic programming skills than bitcoin and lightning, is that assumption correct?
reply
Yeah that's correct, we're focussing on basic web/app development skills, so the course is mostly targeted for those who are learning how to code for the first time.
