Impressed by not just resorting to beef jerkey. Good to give permission to let yourself be a little hungry.
Hard boiled eggs on the road is impressive! Yea no need to compromise yourself while out and about!
I'm not even sure that beef jerky is available anywhere except in the US.
The dried sausage, however, is available all over the place. AND compared to beef jerky (frequently really sugary, and also low fat), it's much more satisfying because it's much fattier. I wish we could get it here in the US - they're great for travel.
Hard boiled eggs, yes, I ate them, but they're definitely not my favorite. They're okay with plenty of butter and salt, though...

Yeah, it's pretty decent! And kept well, even in days of hot weather with no refrigeration.
Wonder if I could make it myself. It would be good as a backpacking food.
