Since SN has an onion website, it would be nice to get a full support for it. Now it's basically just plain HTML, which is fine for read only, but you can't post anything or easily zap people. My idea is that it would function the same way as the clearnet site, so that Tor Browser users could take full advantage of Tor's privacy, and the plain version of the website would only serve as a backup for cases where JavaScript is disabled and some features can't be implemented without it.

yes, that's the goal. we just need parallel infrastructure to support tor this way sadly.
both authentication and our cdn stuff don't really work with dynamic domains. it makes adding great tor support a big lift.
