I heard an interesting stat on ESPN earlier today when they were talking about Devin Booker re-signing with the Phoenix Suns.

Booker is one of 7 current NBA players who have played in at least 10 seasons with their current team.

Without looking it up who are the other 6?

And for 210 bonus sats what is unique about 1 of them.

First with the correct answer wins the bounty.

Steph
Giannis
Draymond
Jaylen Brown
Embiid
Capela (2nd stint with the team)

reply

Capela and Brown are wrong.

reply

Bam with the heat?

reply

That's who I originally had in Capela's spot.

reply

Thanks for playing Blok. 1k sats for you.

reply

Thanks!

reply

No sir. 8 seasons with Heat.

reply

Capela was a late edition, because I had a hunch about what the bonus referred to but couldn't think of who it referred to.

FWIW, I had Bam in that spot previously.

reply

Brown has played 9 seasons. Bam 8 seasons and Capela only 5 with current team.

reply

Capela was only with Houston for five seasons? It seemed longer.

I didn't think Bam or Brown were at 10 years yet, but I couldn't think of who else it would be. I'm going to be really annoyed if it's Jokic.

reply

Yes Joker is one.

reply

I'm glad I missed two then.

reply

Close enough. 1k sats for you.

reply

Very generous. I was only about 4/8.

reply

I feel like you all built a piece of the puzzle so paying everyone.

reply

Damn lol

reply

He is missing two Blok. You still have a shot.

reply

Curry
Draymond Green
Turner
Giannis
Nikola Jokic
Joel Embiid

reply

Turner would have been correct like 2 weeks ago I think!

reply

I think Turner had completed 10 yers in previous season.

reply

Yes, but that’s not his current team anymore

reply

This is correct. Turner is no longer with the Pacers so he doesn't count. But a really good guess by @Coinsreporter

reply

Not lucky for the first time today....ahhh fu*k the day has changed here!

reply

So close but Turner doesn't count because he is no longer with the Pacers. He was traded.

reply

Ok can I make another list?

reply

Let's let a couple more people try and then you guys can all race to see who can submit the last one.

reply

Close enough. 1k sats for you.

reply

Thank you sooo much!

Is it Towns??

reply

Without looking it up, but with using logic about the existing answers here:

Steph
Giannis
Draymond
Jokic
Embiid

Sixth is unknown to me

reply

Close enough 1k sats for you. Dwight Powell of the Mavs was the other guy.

reply

You are too generous, sir! Thank you!

reply

Those are all correct.

reply

10 seasons consecutively or in total? Or does it matter?

reply

I think it's total and the bonus is going to be someone who didn't do it consecutively.

reply

No that's not the bonus.

reply

I'm not going to look it up, but I might do some roster research to figure it out.

reply

Maybe our basketball savant @gnilma will get it.

reply

Off the top of my head
Joker
Giannis
Steph
Draymond
Booker
Embiid

I can only think of 6. Don't know who the 7th is. Also, Embiid only played 9 seasons, but he was with Philly for 11 seasons, because he sat out the first 2 seasons due to injury. Even the start of his career was a process... Haha

I looked it up. It's Dwight Powell. He got traded to the Mavs in Dec 2014 and is still with them. He's also Canadian. So maybe that's the special thing you're talking about?

reply

Correct. @Undisciplined simply doesn't know Canadian basketball. He could never get the great Dwight Powell.

Tristan Thompson?

reply

I will give you 210 sats as a bonus for finding a guy that did it over 2 stints with the same team. Not really what I was looking for but I guess technically the way I worded it he would count as well.

reply

I'm not sure he should count, since he's currently a free agent. He is still listed as a Cav, though.

I scrolled through all the rosters and didn't spot anyone else.

Wrong wrong wrong

Alright, I’ll take a shot:

  1. Stephen Curry – Warriors
  2. Klay Thompson – Warriors
  3. Draymond Green – Warriors
  4. Giannis Antetokounmpo – Bucks
  5. Damian Lillard – (Was Blazers until trade?)
  6. Khris Middleton – Bucks
  7. Devin Booker – Suns

Steph Curry is the only one who has played his entire career (15+ seasons) with one team and won multiple MVPs AND 4 rings with that team.

reply

You got 4. Curry, Green, Giannis and Booker are correct.

Klay, Lillard and Middleton all play for different teams now so they don’t count.

The others are Embiid, Jokic and Dwight Powell.

reply

Alright, here’s my shot:

Stephen Curry – Warriors

Klay Thompson – Warriors

Draymond Green – Warriors

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Bucks

Damian Lillard – Was Blazers, but now with the Bucks

Bradley Beal – Was Wizards, now with Suns

Devin Booker – Suns

So wait — if we’re counting currently still with the same team for 10+ seasons, maybe:

Steph

Klay

Draymond

Giannis

Booker

Middleton?

Jokic is close but not 10 yet.

So maybe Middleton is the 6th?

Unique one?
Probably Steph – he’s the only one who’s played entire career of 10+ seasons AND won 2 MVPs and stayed on one team the whole time. Could be that.

Let me know how close I got 😅

reply

Klay isn’t with the Warriors anymore so he doesn’t count. Jokic is at 10 exactly. Steph, Giannis, Draymond, Booker are correct.

Embiid (although he didn’t technically play the first two seasons due to injury) and Dwight Powell from the Mavs are the other ones.

reply

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Stephen Curry
Damian Lillard
Klay Thompson
Rudy Gobert
Nikola Jokic

reply

Good guess but no. Lillard, Thompson and Gobert have not been with their current teams for 10 years.
