I've been a big fan of George Motz, aka The Burger Scholar, since I first discovered his videos on YouTube. IIRC I was doing a very long water fast and, being carnivore at the time, would mostly bias toward videos that would improve my meat cooking game. He's opened a burger restaurant in NYC (SoHo) and is serving my personal favorite - the Oklahoma onion burger[1] - as one of the two burgers on the menu.

  1. Which I've had in Oklahoma at one of his recommended restaurants, Johnnie's Grill in El Reno.

Here in the country where I currently live, it's strange because the fries go inside the burger along with the meat, tomato, and lettuce!! At first, it seemed quite strange to me, but I've gotten used to it now!!

I enjoy them with lots of mustard!!

Dude same here George Motz is a legend. His deep dives into regional burger styles are unmatched. The fact that he's now got a spot in SoHo and it's serving Oklahoma onion burgers? That’s bucket list material. Definitely hitting Hamburger America next time I’m in NYC.

This point would be moot if In N Out moved to NYC but it will never happen because the owners of In N Out have too much common sense
