Italy have qualified for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, even though they lost to the Netherlands. This will be Italy's first-ever appearance at a cricket World Cup. The Netherlands also secured their spot for the World Cup. Scotland, who had played in the last four T20 World Cups, were knocked out after a last-ball loss to Jersey. Despite Jersey winning that match, they were also eliminated when the Netherlands beat Italy. Both Italy and Jersey had five points, but Italy went through due to a better net run-rate.
