The cleaner uncle commented that I seem to have adapted very fast to my new workplace.

Flattered, I probed, “Uncle how you know?”

He mentioned about me hosting the developer team at the Staff Lounge last week. Then, he brought up about how I was entrusted with my current place - I am blessed with a quiet, charming corner seat! - at the staffroom. Newer teachers would typically be assigned seats near the veteran teachers so that they could understudy them.

“经验是偷不走的。(You can’t fake experience),” he added, his astute observation about life leaving me grinning like a Cheshire cat!
