A friend sent this article to me, I've never used these silk road type sites before, I've seen références to Monero bros talking about their native sites on Nostr.

I'm assuming Abacus is Lightning or cashu, with the privacy benefits opposed to onchain?

"Abacus reached its peak following Europol’s takedown of Archetyp Market (one of the most established darknet platforms) on the 16th of June, users migrated to Abacus, making it the largest Bitcoin-enabled darknet market in the West by volume."Abacus reached its peak following Europol’s takedown of Archetyp Market (one of the most established darknet platforms) on the 16th of June, users migrated to Abacus, making it the largest Bitcoin-enabled darknet market in the West by volume.

hell no lmao there are 0 (zero) DNMs that use lightning or even worse cashu

with that now there's only monero based markets nowadays but even them get shutdown from time to time, it's usually other things involved other than the coin used but preferring XMR is less things to worry about for them
