We had scheduled this hearing and publicly announced it on July 1st prior to the horrific July 4th floods in Texas. There are going to be fireworks for sure for this hearing and I am not sure at all how this could go. It is important to note that MULTIPLE Republican Members are from Texas including the Chairman Brian Babin. Based on a quick look over of the Democratic side they have one Member from the NYC area but the majority of their Members are from Cali and the East and West Coasts.

One Member who really really might take this as a huge opp to make a ton of news would be Rep. Haley Stevens. She recently announced her run for Michigan Senator as the Democratic Candidate who could use this as a huge messaging moment.
