I had Odunze last year and I was disappointed but let’s see what he can do in year 2 with a proper play caller. I like the DJ Moore pick. I could see Ben Johnson using him in a similar way to how he used St Brown in Detroit.
Why do you wait until the later rounds to pick QB rather than taking Allen or Jackson earlier?
Very hard to find WR-RB who get regular opportunities in the later rounds, but every QB is the guy involved in every pass play for his team. So I typically wait on QB because you know you're getting points from the position no matter what, which isn't the case elsewhere. And often some of the later QBs end up scoring as much as the some of the early ones.

Ok, makes sense.
I like your logic in picking the 49ers D going into week 1. Saleh is going to want to make his mark back as DC and if there is any QB that is at risk of completely falling apart in a game it is Darnold.
Not saying it will happen but there is probably a better chance Darnold has a bad game than the mediocre Seahawks offense dominating. Plus with limited WRs early I expect the 49ers to be very CMC, Kittle, run, play action heavy, which means longer drives keeping Hawks offense off the field.

Defense is so variable year to year and week to week, I always just look at the schedule for Week 1 and pick a vulnerable team to go against. I tried it last year with the Giants facing Darnold on the Vikings and rookie Jayden Daniels though, and it didn't work out.

I think 49ers D will be better than people expect. There will be some hiccups since they are relying on a number of rookies to contribute and the depth is definitely questionable but coaching matters. I expect Saleh will get the best out of Bosa, Warner and Lenoir.

yeah, they're usually good, and cheaper than in recent years
