recently, i purchased a charcoal grill.
it is not a fancy grill. just a rectangular metal box with foldable legs, big enough that it can stow easily into the trunk of a small car.
and some coals for fuel.
and whether i had to forego a bitcoin purchase or even sell some bitcoin for this little pleasure (im not confirming or denying).
it was definitely worth it.
everything tastes better cooked on coals.
and the act of fanning the flame manually is a primordial necessity for every man, woman or any bipedal hominid creature with a beating heart.
you can even buy a bespoke bbq fan but I just use scrap cardboard.
(i stand to check the crevice under the thigh of my blackened chicken, fan the coals a bit.)
pass the roasted red peppers in through the window. reheat the roasted potatoes.
fat renders, falls, sizzles on the hot embers.
the smell of grilled chicken hangs, lingers through unsuspecting neighbour's windows
everything tastes better on coals.

what simple pleasures would you forego buying or sell bitcoin for?
(and no one here is confirming or denying the above--nice try feds!)

I bought a secondhand $50 computer a while back. Flashed Ubuntu and it works great for testing things that I don't want to do on my main computer.

ive also flashed ubuntu on old computers. i found it amazing how much the machines' performance improved when not running all the bloat that comes with windows. i learned a lot using Linux also. fantastic experience overall!
