@ek, I don't know if this is wallet related, Alby related, or both, but some of my payments have been failing.

I notice that some of them send from Stacker News Sending, while others send from Alby Account. It looks like only some of the ones from Alby Account have failed.

There's plenty of outbound liquidity in my SN channel.

i don't think the stackers want me to 'win' my own contest again! what a relief.

I've been traveling with limited internet so haven't been around much

Welp I made up my mind on this item

Going to roll the dice and take out a strike loan. Basically I am betting that Bitcoin will go up more than the APR on the loan. But my strategy will to keep a most of the cash balance (almost like an emergency fund) and pay off debt over the next year.

If all goes to plan all the debt will be paid off and I would have increased my stack at these price levels.

At worst. I’ll pay off the loan and save my collateral and take more time to pay off the debt.

Happiness Journal 23/07/25

Today was Spelling Day, so I wrote “katalist” and showed it on the visualiser and challenged my fifth graders to spell it correctly.

Of course, none of them could spell “catalyst”. It was after all a word meant for their older counterparts, 16-year-olds who were to sit for the “O” levels exam. But I didn’t want to confine their horizons, so I taught them how to break it down and arrive at “catalyst”. I’m a Chemistry major, so it delighted me to teach them a word that I’m fond of.

Later today, I wrote words to the effect of “tai chi is the catalyst to developing good mental well-being” for two of my better-progress students. I have faith that under my expert tutelage, they would be able to internalise it sooner or later.
