They could probably do more to sound proof those containers. Submerged mining could be an option too.

Also I am curious what other noise is contributing. Is there a road in front of the house, planes flying overhead, etc...
It's probably just the amount of machines operating. You can see a wall around it but that would only reduce it slightly IMO.
Noise pollution is the most clear negative externality for mining
Most of them are just script pretending mining and use old users funds to pay new ones as simple as that.
Living next to industrial mining sounds rough but blaming Bitcoin alone misses the point. The real issue is poor zoning and lack of noise regulations. Lets fix the system not just the tech.
