pull down to refresh

This is a little saying that I made up for myself. So whenever I go for a walk on the beach with Russell we always meet someone new and it’s great fun meeting new people and hearing there stories or telling them mine.
For example yesterday I meet my neighbours and I told them about the Scottish outfit and equipment I bought while manic. I bought it for two reasons one was as a tribute to my great grandfather James Logie who came to Australia when he was 7. The other reason was one of my neighbours practices the bag pipes and I was planing dress up in the outfit and start dancing out the front when they were playing them.
After that I meet Andy. Russell ran up to him with his ball and wanted him to chuck it for and from there we struck up a conversation. In the end I asked if I can follow him on instagram because if he is interested in my story he can read it online from there. When I added him turns out he was quite the professional athlete with over 180k followers and here I was just chatting away to him blah blah blah and had no idea. He didn’t even bring it up once. He was a very humble and nice man.
After meeting Andy started walking along the beach again. This where I meet Michael. He is a photographer and documentary maker from England on holiday with his Wife and her sister. I could have talked to this man for hours. Not only that he is also into Scuba diving so we had a great chat and walk. Plus when I added him on instagram he was showing me photos of when he had been to Nepal and that is a country I would love to visit but I think my travelling days outside of Australia are on hold for a while. I also told Michael when he goes back to England I’m sure he will run into an old friend of mine who is there that started working in film. Here is a photo of Michael in action. (Michael if you ever read this sorry I pinched this photo from your instagram.)
Now next in queue to meet on the beach was Fred and Roger. This is a local man that I had walked past a few times on my walks. He works in the kitchen at Little Crumb. Roger is his dog on not sure on the breed I’ll have to ask him next time we cross paths and this caused me to go to Little Crumb a little later on for a fantastic breakfast. Fred was trying to stop Roger was stealing Russell’s ball I said I didn’t mind the ball is almost ready for the trash and Fred was like we better get it or Roger will never give it back. We didn’t have time to chat he had to start working soon.
Finally the last people I meet was a quick one I can’t even remember their names. I could look them up on instagram as we all ended up following one another but what a great day of meeting new people all different types, kinds, shapes and varieties. If people are interested I can try and think of other people I have meet on the beach. It could be a good memory exercise for me. That’s all from Jimmy Honey for now. It’s time for Russell’s glow in the dark early morning beach walk. Have a wonderful day wherever you are reader.

Sounds like a pretty good walk. I like your phrase. Kinda sticks in the mind.
If you ever do end up dancing around in the Scottish garb, I'd love to hear the story!

it brings me some comfort knowing that while i'm tucked in my little corner working for 'the man,' you are out and about talking to interesting folks, walking your dog and taking pictures. i understand it is probably not always sunflowers and roses, so thank you for keeping us updated on your goings on.
