We are counting down MLB's best ballparks throughout the 2025 season.
Here is last week's edition. #1056830
This week we move on to #10.
Citi Field- New York Mets Opened: 2009 Capacity: 41,800
Wow, I can't believe Citi Field opened in 2009. It feels like a much newer park than that. Time flies I guess. Major points for keeping the homerun apple which was a staple of its predecessor, Shea Stadium. They did a really nice job on the outdoor concourse in right field. My only critique is there is no view beyond the stadium. The scoreboards are a nice touch and add a classic ballpark feel but it would be nice if there was some kind of view other than stands and scoreboards. A friend of mine, whose opinion I respect, saw a couple games in this park a few summers ago and loved it, so that helped convince me Citi Field should be a top 10 park.
On to #9 next week.

I really like that they placed plaques in the parking lot marking the locations of the bases and home plate for Shea Stadium.
