I'm curating SN's AI post site-wide (not just ~ai) weekly. If I missed something (I only filter slop and duplicates from past weeks - to the best of my mere mortal abilities), please let me know.

Stay safe out there

Imagine you were chatting with ChatGPT about your patient's odd symptoms and you shared the chat with them for the sake of transparency... well, don't. Turns out, Conversations with ChatGPT are not as private as you thought, shares @Tony. Of course, ChatGPT users shocked to learn their chats were in Google search results as @jakoyoh629 shared a followup report about the problem. At least OpenAI removes ChatGPT self-doxing option, but perhaps, medical professionals should carefully listen to devs, because Developer survey shows trust in AI coding tools is falling as usage rises, both via @0xbitcoiner.
However, the internet never forgets. So stay safe, and don't use a SaaS where you have signed away all your rights on accepting the ToS. If this advice comes too late for you or you didn't listen last time you were told, no worries, because you can probably just deepfake your denial to perfection, as Hyper-realistic AI generated news anchors are fooling the internet, via @Coinsreporter, and Azure AI Speech needs seconds of audio to clone voices, via @0xbitcoiner. Ultimately, AI can make every problem go away: AI can help you die by suicide if you ask the right way, researchers say, @south_korea_ln shares.

The moment the second post about the OpenAI sharing issue came in, I knew I had to do something with it, so I've been looking forward to brewing this one since Friday.
