Today is the Monday after our National Day - a school holiday. You would think that Sensei would make full use of this day, marking his students’ scripts and unpacking his stuff in his newly renovated flat.
Instead, he squandered it on having two naps and watching Squid Game. He’s frantically posting here to keep his cowboy hat. Maybe mark three students’ scripts before he has to pick up his children.
You can either share how you take it easy and commiserate with him or reveal your super packed schedule and make him feel in awe of your discipline.
Ready, set, go!

My day just started, it's "packed", but it matters with what, and i feel like I'm busy while procrastinating.
  1. My friend asked me last night if I could sit their dog for the day because they had an unexpected activity today. So in about 20 minutes from now I'm going to have some exercise for both their dog and I.
  2. After that I will write the AI weekly rollup from their place.
  3. By then I will have squandered 3 productive hours that should have been spent on writing docs.
  4. Come 4 hours of squandered productivity, it will be unavoidable to start writing docs, which I by then will really not like, but I'll do it. This is somewhat dumb because I actually like writing docs.
  5. I'll eat something at my desk and by the 7th hour in, it's exercise time again
  6. Hopefully I will have the discipline to continue writing after that.

Well done! I’m the sort to push everything aside to help out a friend. We are loyal like that.
I like the way you framed the dog care as an opportunity for exercise. That way, you won’t feel Ike you are not optimising your time.
I can give you a nudge 12 hours from now so that you get some motivation to write those docus haha

Their dog is among the most hyperactive ones I've ever seen. So I just go for a run with him, and while we do that, once he stops running it means I've sufficiently done my job, and we can walk back. It truly is exercise with this dog if you give it what it wants. Another upside is that when he's as tired as I make him, he won't bother me while I work. Snore time literally just started. lol.

Haha thanks! Let's see how disciplined I turn out to be.

Some days you ride the bull, some days you nap in the barn. If you wrangled three scripts and kept your cowboy essentials (hat, gun and horse) I’d call that a win. Tomorrow’s the day for the rodeo.
Yeehaw!

Yeehaw! This meme is so cute. Made me smile.
Yes, I will try to resume my relentless pace tomorrow

Who likes to balance these? Either you're procrastinating or you're productive. You can't be both at the same time.
But to be super productive we can comment or post on SN while procrastinating for everything else.

Oh I like this nuanced answer. I think it’s worth procrastinating everything else to be productive here

Either you are productive or procrastinating is nuance???

Help who? Humanity? Or your wifey?

I don’t think you need to post to maintain cowboy hat. Comment or zap is sufficient?
I have gone weeks without original post to keep my cowboy hat streak

I tell myself everything i'm doing is for my kids so no matter how down I get, I push myself to just do it
