I had a Norfolk terrier. My wife fell in love with one that lived down the block so we got one from the same breeder. I loved him and miss him, but he wasn't my favorite dog. I'm not a huge fan of straight terrier breeds anyway, but my favorite would be the patterdale terrier. These little guys are incredible, and they look cool.

Yeah, same as mine! Jack Russell could be my fav had it got a little more size.
We fall in love with any breed, if we have one around. Even those that my current female dog delivers in about every 8-9 months, when I've to give them away, I just feel very sad and I call it love. From the last litter I thought of retaining one boy from them, he died overnight and I still remember him.

5 interesting things about this breed:
  1. America's First Dog Breed - Many dog breeds can claim America as their homeland, but the first breed to be recognized by the AKC was the Boston Terrier. It was registered by the American Kennel Club in 1893
  2. Terrier in name only
  3. A companion dog for ladies - At one time, the breed was specifically promoted for ladies.
  4. A dog breed of one of the American states - In Massachusetts, it was chosen as the official state dog breed (State Dog) in 1979.
  5. Mascot - Boston University's mascot, Rhett, is modeled after Boston Terriers.
