I spent this morning at a local cat cafe, savoured beef at Gyu-Kaku and queued like a patient maniac for macaroons at Pierre Hermes. Besides rejoicing how this Saturday is different from my usual NTUC FairPrice supermarket outing, I also appreciate how cosmopolitan my country is, how intertwined different cultural influences are into a formidable capitalist wonderland.
